Another magical wine from this estate is the 2019 Cote a Cote, a blend of 34% each of Grenache and Mourvedre, with the balance Syrah. Brought up in 29% new French oak, it boasts a dense purple color as well as incredible aromatics of blue fruits, smoked game, violets, black pepper, and spring flowers. One of those incredibly complex, nuanced wines that still brings depth and richness on the palate, it s perfectly balanced, has ultra-fine tannins, and a gorgeous finish. It s the finest vintage of Cote a Cote ever produced. Drink it over the coming 15+ years.
Stephan Asseo, who s assisted more and more by assistant winemaker Patrick Davies, continues to keep his L Aventure estate near the top of the pyramid in Paso Robles. This report looks at the 2019s and 2020s, and both appear to be beautiful vintages. The 2019s are some of the finest wines I ve tasted at this estate and have a rare mix of power and vibrancy, with incredible aromatics and sensational purity and precision on the palate.

Deliveries are made through London City Bond.
We deliver Monday-Friday and charges are £16 ex-VAT for the majority of UK postcodes (Highlands and Islands will incur additional charges).
We can also offer next-day delivery for central London addresses if an order is placed before 12:00 the previous day, and also offer same day deliveries at an additional charge.
Storage and Transfer fees
We can also arrange deliveries to other storage accounts. Prices vary from £12 ex-VAT (within the London City Bond warehouses) to £16 ex-VAT for delivery to all other storage providers (likes of Octavian).

Wines are stored at London City Bond, Creek Road in Barking. All wines are professionally stored under ideal conditions and insured to their full market value. Our current storage fee is £10.50 ex-VAT per 12 bottle case or equivalent per year.

*The Upslope Syrah represents the crème de la crème at Jaffurs - a cellar selection of the very best single-vineyard 'reserve'... barrels. The prized Bien Nacido and Larner Vineyards make up the blend: sources for some legendary Sine Qua Non wines, as well as contemporary benchmark producers like Fingers Crossed and Andremily Wines.
Jaffurs Wine Cellars is dedicated to producing great Rhône varietal wines with a New World independence. Founder Craig Jaffurs produced his first professional wines during the 1994 harvest. Current owners Dan and Janelle Green purchased Jaffurs in 2016, and continue the tradition of family wine-making started by the Jaffurs family over two decades ago, with Craig remaining on their Advisory Board.
All the wines are carefully made in small lots, with approximately 5,000 cases are produced each year. Craig and his team work closely with top growers in the Santa Ynez, Ballard Canyon, Sta. Rita Hills, Los Alamos, and Santa Maria regions.
