Sourced from exceptional vineyard sites around Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo and south to Edna Valley, this wine is cultivated meticulously by the farmers who have become Eric’s ‘Favorite Neighbors’. With their dedication to the land, Eric is able to craft a world class wine without any shortcuts or compromises.

The wine spends 8 months in 225L French oak barrels (50% new).

The 2021 MFN Blanc Chardonnay is very ripe in style with scents of banana chip, apple pie, jasmine, allspice and brown sugar. The full-bodied palate is packed with ripe, spicy fruits and plenty of refreshing acidity, and it finishes long with a satiny, mouth-coating texture. It’s an old-school style reminiscent of Napa that fans of ripe, oaked Chardonnays will enjoy. [30/12/2022]

Deliveries are made through London City Bond.

We deliver Monday-Friday and charges are £16 ex-VAT for the majority of UK postcodes (Highlands and Islands will incur additional charges).

We can also offer next-day delivery for central London addresses if an order is placed before 12:00 the previous day, and also offer same day deliveries at an additional charge.

Storage and Transfer fees

We can also arrange deliveries to other storage accounts. Prices vary from £12 ex-VAT (within the London City Bond warehouses) to £16 ex-VAT for delivery to all other storage providers (likes of Octavian).

Wines are stored at London City Bond, Creek Road in Barking. All wines are professionally stored under ideal conditions and insured to their full market value. Our current storage fee is £10.50 ex-VAT per 12 bottle case or equivalent per year.

Blend: 100% Chardonnay Vintage Production: 145 cases The Duvarita Vineyard is in the far west of the region, sitting literally metres outside of the Sta. Rita Hills AVA boundary, and it is one of... the most sought after vineyards. The steep slopes sit on a combination of ancient sand dunes and sandstone, producing wines of characteristic depth and intensity. Dragonette's Chardonnay comes from the highest blocks, more influenced by the cooling Pacific fog and full of stone fruit and a crisp minerality, and we love the extra dimension on the palate that comes from lees contact. For some summer-dining inspiration, the regional seafood specialties are the famous local halibut and sea bass, either (or both!) of which are perfect with a glass of Duvarita Chardonnay.

Winemaker Brandon Sparks-Gills, and brothers Steve and... John Dragonette, select the region's elite vineyards to make Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays of utter refinement and distinction. Rita’s Crown vineyard is located at one of the highest points in the Sta. Rita Hills, adjacent to such famous sites as Mt Carmel and Sea Smoke. The soils are a mix of sandy and clay loams with a good amount of diatomaceous earth. Dragonette's Chardonnay comes from two parcels: block 16, (clone 76) lies at 800-950 feet on a steep, west-southwest facing hillside above the monastery, and block 12 (clone 95), a steep south facing hillside just below and to the west. These higher elevation blocks are exposed to fog and clouds most mornings and high winds most afternoons, cooling the vineyard. The climate and the low vigour soils produce a small canopy, small yields and a long, slow growing season. The wines here typically show beautiful, ripe tropical fruit flavours, balanced by remarkable acidity and strong notes of chalky minerals.
