Maybach’s Irmgard Vineyard is at the far reaches of the Sonoma Coast, where the best sites tend to produce wines with distinctive notes driven by the unyielding conditions of their locale. From this vineyard you can see the Pacific Ocean, which puts the vineyard near the fringe of where it is possible for nature to allow the cultivation of wine grapes. It was planted by the team in 2007, and both Chris Maybach and winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown feels the 2021 is their finest vintage to date.

The Wine Independent 96

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2021 Irmgard Pinot Noir soars form the glass with vibrant notes of fresh cranberries, Bing cherries, and red roses, followed by hints of wild strawberries and underbrush. The medium to full-bodied palate is completely filled with vivacious red berries and floral layers, framed by plush tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and perfumed. [13/04/2023]

Deliveries are made through London City Bond.

We deliver Monday-Friday and charges are £16 ex-VAT for the majority of UK postcodes (Highlands and Islands will incur additional charges).

We can also offer next-day delivery for central London addresses if an order is placed before 12:00 the previous day, and also offer same day deliveries at an additional charge.

Storage and Transfer fees

We can also arrange deliveries to other storage accounts. Prices vary from £12 ex-VAT (within the London City Bond warehouses) to £16 ex-VAT for delivery to all other storage providers (likes of Octavian).

Wines are stored at London City Bond, Creek Road in Barking. All wines are professionally stored under ideal conditions and insured to their full market value. Our current storage fee is £10.50 ex-VAT per 12 bottle case or equivalent per year.

Don and Claude produced their first MonoClone® Pinot Noir in 2006, crafted from the Dijon... 115 clone in the family’s Sonatera Vineyard. The 115 clone originated in Burgundy where is was saved in early 1950s by Raymond Bernard, who was allowed to graft in Domaine Ponsot’s vineyard in the Grand Cru of Clos de la Roche. It was then sent first to David Lett in Oregon and made its way down to Sonoma. Of the many clones Soliste have worked with, their favourite is Dijon 115.   In 2015, Don and Claude were introduced to Terra de Promissio Vineyard, just south of Petaluma, and fell in love with it straight away. They noted a parcel of Dijon 115 vines, and with their relentless dedication to produce the very best Pinot Noir, they applied their knowledge to create a Pinot worthy of their MonoClone® programme.
