Winemaker Wynne Solomon has beautifully captured the brilliant 2020 vintage with her distinctive, terroir driven wines.

The Estate’s Sierra Madre Vineyard in about 20 miles north in the Santa Maria Valley, nestled below the Los Padres National Forest. Wynne hand-selects fruit from the best south-facing block where sandy soils turbo charge the aromatics, and cooler seasonal temperatures give drive and tension. 38% new French oak gives this Chardonnay superb texture and balance.

The 2020 Chardonnay Sierra Madre Vineyard is very expressive, offering apricot, poached pear, acacia, honeyed almonds and flinty streaks on the nose. The medium-bodied palate is satiny, expansive and savory with rounded acidity and a long, creamy finish. 297 cases produced. [Erin Brooks, 08/12/2022]

Peach, honeyed pineapple, toasted spices and some brioche all emerge from the 2020 Chardonnay Sierra Madre Vineyard, another incredibly textured, opulent, yet balanced and seamless Chardonnay from this team. It brings plenty of texture, yet at the same time remains light on its feet, pure, and seamless. Count me impressed. Aged in 38% new French oak, drink it any time over the coming 5-7 years or more. Deliveries are made through London City Bond.

We deliver Monday-Friday and charges are £16 ex-VAT for the majority of UK postcodes (Highlands and Islands will incur additional charges).

We can also offer next-day delivery for central London addresses if an order is placed before 12:00 the previous day, and also offer same day deliveries at an additional charge.

Storage and Transfer fees

We can also arrange deliveries to other storage accounts. Prices vary from £12 ex-VAT (within the London City Bond warehouses) to £16 ex-VAT for delivery to all other storage providers (likes of Octavian).

Blend: 100% Chardonnay Vintage Production: 200 cases The Duvarita Vineyard is in the far west of the region, sitting literally metres outside of the Sta. Rita Hills AVA boundary, and it is one of... the most sought after vineyards. The steep slopes sit on a combination of ancient sand dunes and sandstone, producing wines of characteristic depth and intensity. Dragonette's Chardonnay comes from the highest blocks, more influenced by the cooling Pacific fog and full of stone fruit and a crisp minerality, and we love the extra dimension on the palate that comes from lees contact. For some summer-dining inspiration, the regional seafood specialties are the famous local halibut and sea bass, either (or both!) of which are perfect with a glass of Duvarita Chardonnay.
