The O’Shaughnessy Oakville a wine that’s often been described as an a-typical Napa Chardonnay, edging to the more steely, energetic end of the spectrum. Winemaker Saen Capiaux achieves this by blocking malolactic fermentation, and using just 26% new French Oak during élevage. He builds depth and texture through a combination of a very special selection of four Chardonnay clones in the vineyard, with gentle lees stirring in the winery.
