The remarkable Estate Blend 2019 is a masterful blend of Rhône-varietals taking fruit from Paderewski and York Mountain, with the addition of the Estate’s third vineyard, Catapult, which was planted in 2008. It’s winemaker Jordan Fiorentini’s calling-card cuvée which perfectly expresses the Estate’s style and exceptional quality.

Equal part rich and decadent, refined and coiled, it has to be one the biggest overachievers out there with TWO 97 point scores.

It’s drinking beautifully at release, although may benefit from a year or two before entering a VERY long drinking window up to 2040. Now that’s a seriously good wine that will brush aside many at twice the price.

Vinous 97

Dusty rose and raspberry notes combine with licorice and white pepper nuances as the 2019 Estate Blend blossoms in the glass. It’s softly textured with brisk minerality. A chalky tannin coasting frames tart wild berry fruits. It finishes grippy and long with cooling mineral tones and red inner florals that echo throughout. This dark and radiant beauty blends 51% Syrah, 17% Mourvedre, 14% Grenache, 7% Tempranillo, 6% Graciano, 3% Carignan and 2% Zinfandel. [Eric Guido, 01/03/2023]

This blend of 51% Syrah, 17% Mourvedre, 14% Grenache, 7% Tempranillo, 6% Graciano, 3% Carignan and 2% Zinfandel shows how a sum can be much greater than its parts. Deep, dark and hearty aromas of boysenberry jam, woodspice, mocha and loam lead into an extremely textural palate that’s creamy yet tense with tannins. Suave cocoa, berry and graham cracker flavors ride an energized acidity. [01/03/2023]

The 2019 Estate Blend is comprised of 51% Syrah, 17% Mourvedre, 14% Grenache, 7% Tempranillo, 6% Graciano, 3% Carignan and 2% Zinfandel, matured for 19 months in 31% new French oak. Opaque ruby-purple, tones of tar, cigar ash and graphite give way over time to blackberry, blueberry and boysenberry preserves, prosciutto and violet. Full-bodied, ripe and concentrated, it offers pixelated tannins, seamless acidity and a youthfully coiled finish. It deserves 3-5+ years in the cellar to unwind. 1,729 cases produced. Deliveries are made through London City Bond.

We deliver Monday-Friday and charges are £16 ex-VAT for the majority of UK postcodes (Highlands and Islands will incur additional charges).

We can also offer next-day delivery for central London addresses if an order is placed before 12:00 the previous day, and also offer same day deliveries at an additional charge.

Storage and Transfer fees

We can also arrange deliveries to other storage accounts. Prices vary from £12 ex-VAT (within the London City Bond warehouses) to £16 ex-VAT for delivery to all other storage providers (likes of Octavian).

Wines are stored at London City Bond, Creek Road in Barking. All wines are professionally stored under ideal conditions and insured to their full market value. Our current storage fee is £10.50 ex-VAT per 12 bottle case or equivalent per year.

2020 Slacker Wines, Computer Geek, Paso Robles 12x75cl

Blend: 40% Syrah, 40% Grenache, 10% Graciano, 10% Carignan Vintage production: 260 cases The 2020 Computer Geek comes from three estate vineyards farmed by winemaker Matt Trevisan in the Willow... Creek District. The driving element is Syrah from the Perch Block at Stonethrower Vineyard, located just 10 miles from the ocean at an elevation of 1,350 feet. The Syrah component is rounded out by fruit from the Estrella Block at Stonethrower Vineyard and the Cold Shoulder Block at the Linne Calodo estate. The Grenache, Graciano and Carignan hail from a mix of blocks at Stonethrower, Linne Calodo and Oakdale vineyards. Native yeast fermentation. An extended whole-cluster fermentation of the Perch Block Syrah sets the tone, driving the wine with an earthy, savoury character. After fermentation, the various blocks were pressed to 228, 265 and 500-liter French oak barrels (20% new oak), where they underwent extended aging for 30 months prior to blending. Complete Linne Calodo treatment - no additional expense spared from winegrowing through winemaking, but differentiated as a Slacker blend with an emphasis on softer edges and immediate approachability.
