Santa Barbara County is the new frontier for West Coast Cabernet Sauvignon, with the cooling influence of the Pacific Ocean brining a level of elegance and refinement that make the wines stand out. By far, the leading winery is Crown Point Vineyards in Happy Canyon at the most easterly part of the region.

Here, another young and uber-talented talented French winemaker, Simon Faury, has made his home under the Californian sunshine, and is taking this remarkable Estate into the big leagues of Cabernet producers.

Robert Parker 96

The 2019 Estate Selection is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Cabernet Franc, and 5% each of Malbec, Petit Verdot and Merlot. It has a deep ruby color and pretty wafts of mint chocolate, thyme, violet, soy sauce and fennel with a core of ripe blackcurrants. The medium-bodied palate is velvety, expansive and seamless with energetic acidity and haunting herbal wafts on the finish. It’s a very drinkable style that nonetheless has the potential to develop positively in bottle over the next decade. [Erin Brooks, 08/12/2022]

Deliveries are made through London City Bond.

We deliver Monday-Friday and charges are £16 ex-VAT for the majority of UK postcodes (Highlands and Islands will incur additional charges).

We can also offer next-day delivery for central London addresses if an order is placed before 12:00 the previous day, and also offer same day deliveries at an additional charge.

Storage and Transfer fees

We can also arrange deliveries to other storage accounts. Prices vary from £12 ex-VAT (within the London City Bond warehouses) to £16 ex-VAT for delivery to all other storage providers (likes of Octavian).

Wines are stored at London City Bond, Creek Road in Barking. All wines are professionally stored under ideal conditions and insured to their full market value. Our current storage fee is £10.50 ex-VAT per 12 bottle case or equivalent per year.
