The key to this magical and dynamic blend is the vineyard sources: in addition to Sugarloaf Mountain, Sage Ridge, and Wildfoote, the core of the fruit comes from blocks 5 and 7 in the Tench Vineyard which literally run alongside the fenceline of neighbouring Screaming Eagle – that’s some serious terroir. Russell makes his selection in the cellar, picking single-vineyard barrels that are crying out to be blended together for an earlier drinking, hedonistic, and utterly delicious wine.

The Ontogeny is a true cellar-barrel selection, and is always the last of the cuvées to be blended making each new release highly-anticipated!

A blend put together by Bevan from the single vineyards, the Ontogeny cuvee is year-in, year-out one of the greatest values in Cabernet Sauvignon. His 2019 Ontogeny is no exception, revealing a dense purple hue as well as rock star notes of creme de cassis, violets, tobacco leaf, and chocolate. It s a big, classic Bevan wine and has remarkable purity, silky, polished tannins, and not a hard edge to be found. Don t miss it! [Jeb Dunnuck, 10/03/2022]

We deliver Monday-Friday and charges are £16 ex-VAT for the majority of UK postcodes (Highlands and Islands will incur additional charges).

Storage and Transfer fees
