Description

Indigo is a selection from Justin’s favourite Syrah terroir, with an emphasis on the Alban 1 clone, given an extended elevage in new, French oak barriques for maximum impact and richness.

The vineyard is situated at 335m of elevation on a north-facing, gently-rolling hillside on the foothills of Sonoma Mountain. It is composed of a geological upheaval of ashy, moondust-like soils, littered with ancient seabed.

Sonoma Mountain’s ridgetops — demarcating the cool Sonoma Coast AVA, from the more moderate Sonoma Valley AVA — delivers an utterly unique expression of Syrah, distinct from that grown elsewhere in Sonoma County.

The 2019 spent 22 months French oak hogshead barrels (90% new).

Brought up in more new French oak (90%), the 2019 Syrah Indigo is inky purple-hued and gives up a killer bouquet of blackberries, beef blood, bay leaf, iron, peppery herbs, and bacon fat. It’s rich, full-bodied, and concentrated on the palate, with a dense, rich, powerful, yet also focused style that stays graceful and elegant. This is a gorgeous Syrah in every way that should have 10-15 years of prime drinking. [30/09/2021]

Deliveries are made through London City Bond.

We deliver Monday-Friday and charges are £16 ex-VAT for the majority of UK postcodes (Highlands and Islands will incur additional charges).

We can also offer next-day delivery for central London addresses if an order is placed before 12:00 the previous day, and also offer same day deliveries at an additional charge.

Storage and Transfer fees

We can also arrange deliveries to other storage accounts. Prices vary from £12 ex-VAT (within the London City Bond warehouses) to £16 ex-VAT for delivery to all other storage providers (likes of Octavian).

Wines are stored at London City Bond, Creek Road in Barking. All wines are professionally stored under ideal conditions and insured to their full market value. Our current storage fee is £10.50 ex-VAT per 12 bottle case or equivalent per year.

Blend: 85% Grenache, 15% Syrah Vintage production: 1,103 cases Beguiling is Law's is a celebration of Grenache, always dominated by 80+% of this varietal which is in the midst of an astonishing... revolution in Paso Robles. The vines are on a complex blend of Calodo, Los Osos, Nacamiento and Linne soils that run through the Estate Vineyard, between 490m and 590m above sea level. The fruit is hravested by hand and undergoes native fermentation in open top concrete fermenters. It is aged for 19 months in French oak (30% new) before14 months in bottle prior to release.

Syrah, Grenache, and Cabernet Sauvignon are selected from a handful of the top sites in Paso Roble's Westside, and masterfully blended by Guillaume. Aging is for 16 months in 30% new French oak of 225L & 400L barrels. The Cabernet Sauvignon fermented in concrete tanks.
