The Helfer Vineyard is located in the Vine Hill area of the Russian River Valley. The vineyard’s densely planted vines require hand cultivation and yield more concentrated fruit than can be achieved by traditional California vine spacing. Fred bottles this Chardonnay without fining or filtration to preserve its finer qualities.
The 2017 Chardonnay Helfer Vineyard is compelling. A hint of reduction in the bouquet leads into tangerine, orange peel, mint and buttery notes. This is a pretty rich, extroverted style for Scherrer, but it works very well. The Helfer is intriguing and full of character.

Deliveries are made through London City Bond.
We deliver Monday-Friday and charges are £16 ex-VAT for the majority of UK postcodes (Highlands and Islands will incur additional charges).
We can also offer next-day delivery for central London addresses if an order is placed before 12:00 the previous day, and also offer same day deliveries at an additional charge.
We can also arrange deliveries to other storage accounts. Prices vary from £12 ex-VAT (within the London City Bond warehouses) to £16 ex-VAT for delivery to all other storage providers (likes of Octavian).

Wines are stored at London City Bond, Creek Road in Barking. All wines are professionally stored under ideal conditions and insured to their full market value. Our current storage fee is £10.50 ex-VAT per 12 bottle case or equivalent per year.
