This Chardonnay comes from a single Wente selection clone planted on the Estate Vineyard on Los Carneros Avenue. The wine undergoes a very long, gentle pressing before being 100% barrel fermented with native yeast, using 30% of the oak new (mainly Francois Freres). It went through 100% malolactic and was bottled unfined and unfiltered. The 2016 Chardonnay brazenly sashays out of the glass with bold notions of mandarin peel, lemongrass, green apples and fresh pears plus hints of beeswax, honeysuckle and toasted almonds and a waft of nutmeg. Medium-bodied, the palate is very tightly knit with great freshness and loads of mineral sparks intertwined beautifully with all those citrus layers, finishing long and chalky. Elegant yet intense with amazing tension and exquisite poise, this should age incredibly! Only 500 cases were made. This wine is mostly sold through cellar door and a few distributors in California.

Delivery & Storage
UK Deliveries
Deliveries are made through London City Bond.
We deliver Monday-Friday and charges are £16 ex-VAT for the majority of UK postcodes (Highlands and Islands will incur additional charges).
We can also offer next-day delivery for central London addresses if an order is placed before 12:00 the previous day, and also offer same day deliveries at an additional charge.
Storage and Transfer fees
We can also arrange deliveries to other storage accounts. Prices vary from £12 ex-VAT (within the London City Bond warehouses) to £16 ex-VAT for delivery to all other storage providers (likes of Octavian).

Storage
Wines are stored at London City Bond, Creek Road in Barking. All wines are professionally stored under ideal conditions and insured to their full market value. Our current storage fee is £10.50 ex-VAT per 12 bottle case or equivalent per year.
