Made from 36% Syrah, 36% Mourvedre, 22% Grenache and the balance Tempranillo, fermented in concrete and aged in 31% new French oak, the 2014 Estate Blend comes from the Paderewski and Catapult Vineyard. As you d expect with the name, it s a perfect introduction into the wines of this estate. Notes of blackberries, toasted spice, cedar, and dried garrigue all emerge from this soft, deductive, beautifully textured red that has loads of charm and character. It s certainly the most approachable of the 2014s, yet is going to evolve just fine given its balance and purity.

UK Deliveries
Deliveries are made through London City Bond.
We deliver Monday-Friday and charges are £16 ex-VAT for the majority of UK postcodes (Highlands and Islands will incur additional charges).
We can also offer next-day delivery for central London addresses if an order is placed before 12:00 the previous day, and also offer same day deliveries at an additional charge.
Storage and Transfer fees
We can also arrange deliveries to other storage accounts. Prices vary from £12 ex-VAT (within the London City Bond warehouses) to £16 ex-VAT for delivery to all other storage providers (likes of Octavian).

Storage
Wines are stored at London City Bond, Creek Road in Barking. All wines are professionally stored under ideal conditions and insured to their full market value. Our current storage fee is £10.50 ex-VAT per 12 bottle case or equivalent per year.

There are two sides to Grenache: the rich, deep and peppery wines, and those driven by elegance, purity and vibrancy. One of the best exponents of... the latter, more feminine style is winemaker Sonja Magdevski and her Clementine Carter label.
Perfectly described as "Pinot Noir lover's Grenache" by Jeb Dunnuck, Sonja's wines are utterly joyous and unlike anything else in our cellar. Best of all, despite vineyard production topping out at just over 300 cases, they are astonishingly well-priced.
Sonja produces tiny volumes of incredible Grenache, based around some brilliant vineyards in Santa Barbara County. The Kimsey and Larner Vineyards are in Ballard Canyon, and in addition to Sonja, their fruit is sourced by some of THE greatest winemakers in California, including Jim Binns for his Andremily wines. Sonja also sources some awesome fruit in Sta. Rita Hills for her third cuvée.

If there's one wine that sums up why California is such a hotbed of innovation and excitement, it's the Peake Ranch Bellis... Noir 2019. It's a blend like no-other: with a dominance of Syrah and addition of Grenache it is a classic Central Coast recipe, but what makes it unique and utterly divine is a splash of Pinot Noir, all from the Estate Vineyards!
Peake Ranch's wines are super hot-tickets, and the two Estate Vineyards in Sta. Rita Hills are highly prized by the region's top winemakers. The Peake Ranch Vineyard surrounds the winery in the far southeast of the AVA, counting Sine Qua Non's Eleven Confessions Vineyard as a neighbour. This historic site rises up from the valley floor into Santa Rosa Hills, a is home to some of the best Pinot Noir on the West Coast.
John Sebastiano Vineyard has the perfect mix of cool breezes from the Pacific Ocean and Californian sunshine for producing amazing Syrah and Grenache. With the likes of Jim Binns (Andremily), Paul Lato (Paul Lato Wines), and Nik Krankl (Finger's Crossed) lining up for some fruit, it deserves it's 'Grand Cru' status.
The mix of intense, aromatic Syrah with energetic, textured Grenache and Pinot may sound outrageous, but if the recipe works why deny it?!
