*Blend: 93% Sauvignon Blanc, 7% Sémillon
*Vintage production: 450 cases
*Equal to the Estate Red, the Estate Sauvignon Blanc is done in the Bordeaux style of winemaking, including a small... percentage of Sémillon in the final blend. As with many Bordeaux Châteaux, Arkenstone utilises large concrete eggs for the vinification as well as new and once-used French oak.
The free-run Sauvignon Blanc is fermented and aged in oak and concrete vessels for roughly a year sur-lie and without racking or battonage. The Semillon is fermented and aged sur-lie for the same time but in all-new French oak. Once blended, the Estate Blanc is then aged in bottle for 18 months before release. The Wine Balance, structure, and texture are at the core of the Estate Blanc. This foundation makes it quite versatile at the dinner table. From raw seafood to hearty pork dishes, the combination of rich fruit and bright acidity makes it a perfect match.
Though easy to enjoy, the Estate Blanc is more intellectual than it is quaffable. Whereas most Sauvignon Blanc blends are meant to be enjoyed for the prelude to an evening, Arkenstone’s has the integrity to last from amuse-bouche to the final dessert of a lengthy meal.
Howell Mountain is composed primarily of volcanic soils. At Arkenstone, the vines are planted in red Aiken Loam and White Tufa. The Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon are planted in the Tufa, comprised of compacted volcanic ash, and are 100% organically grown.

*There are few names in the world of fine wine as revered, or as evocative, as Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard. Widely regarded as one... of the most prestigious vineyard sites in the world, it represents the pinnacle of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon: a 'First Growth' of the New World.
This hallowed ground has yielded some of the most iconic wines in Napa’s history, entrusted only to a select handful of elite winemakers. Among them, Chris Tynan of Cliff Lede Vineyards stands out, consistently crafting wines of extraordinary depth, elegance, and critical acclaim.
In the cool darkness of night, grapes were hand-picked into small twenty-five-pound bins to minimise crushing. By early morning, the grapes were subjected to rigorous selection by our three-tiered sorting process, which includes an innovative optical sorter and a slow, individual berry hand sort. Whole berries were gently delivered by gravity to tank by a unique crane system, which kept the berries intact.
Cold soaks lasted from five to eight days, and fermentations were managed through a combination of pump-overs and délestage. Extended maceration of up to six weeks ensured exceptional extraction and fine-tuning of tannin profiles.
This wine underwent twenty-one months of élevage in French oak barrels, 81% of which were new.

*Cliff Lede's Poetry Vineyard sits in the foothills of the Vaca Mountains in Napa's... Stags Leap District AVA, and this iconic cuvée has been described by Robert Parker as "The quintessential Stags Leap Cabernet Sauvignon that is Napa Valley’s version of Château Margaux."
Having averaged a breath-taking 99 points with Dunnuck and The Wine Advocate since head winemaker Christopher Tynan joined in 2012, it more than deserves this comparison.
Poetry draws its uniqueness from shallow, volcanic soils atop fractured shale. Due to the stressful nature of the site, planted with high vine density and farmed to very low yields, the vines develop slowly and produce small flavourful berries. The vineyard is planted to legendary, proprietary heritage selections of Cabernet Sauvignon.
In the cool darkness of night, grapes were hand-picked into twenty-five-pound (11.3kg) bins to minimise crushing. By early morning, the grapes were subjected to rigorous selection through a three-tiered sorting process, including an innovative optical sorter and a slow, individual berry hand sort.
Whole berries were then gently delivered by gravity to tank using a unique crane system, helping to keep the berries intact. Cold soaks lasted from five to eight days, while fermentations were managed through a combination of pump-overs and délestage. Extended maceration of up to four weeks ensured exceptional extraction and allowed for fine-tuning of tannin profiles.
Following twenty-one months of élevage in French oak barrels, 83% of which were new, the final blend was selected from the finest lots of the Poetry Vineyard.

*The FUTO OV | SL 2015 showcases the synergy of the two estate properties in Oakville... and Stags Leap District. At its core are co-fermentations of fruit from these hillsides that Jason believes are perfect foils for one another. Oakville is imposing and impressive with its broad-shouldered stature, while Stags Leap is a timeless beauty with classic proportions. This wine is proof that 1+1 can equal 3.
The wine perfectly captures both, the vintage and the synergy between the two sites. Rose hip, black cherry, and sweet savoury aromas point to the natural richness of the year in its amped up expression.
On the palate, chiselled cassis, raspberry and violet flavours pulse with energy, onto a layered graphitic infused bed of fine tannin. Even with all of its aromatic and flavour explosiveness, there is a level of translucence and energy that elevate the wine.

*Unwritten is a true insider's secret, known only to those with an inside track, this gorgeous Cabernet is a unique marriage of... Oakville and Howell Mountain 'Grand Cru' Vineyards.
The inaugural 2014 vintage was an instant sell-out, taking pride of place on the lists of two Napa culinary institutions: The French Laundry, and Press. It has since become one of the hottest tickets in Napa.
The 2021 Unwritten Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of two prestigious vineyards from two distinct appellations: David Abreu's legendary Las Posadas Vineyard near the top of Howell Mountain, and the historic Oakville Station Vineyard on the slopes of western Oakville, where it's surrounded by Mondavi and Opus One's To Kalon holdings, and Heitz's Martha's Vineyard.
The wine is a masterclass in counterpoint: the mountain fruit brings waves of density and structure while the valley floor fruit imbues the lush power that stitches the complex elements together.
The fruit for the 2021 was harvested in Oakville on 20th September, and Las Posadas between 27th September and 4th October. The wine spent 23 months in 80% new French oak (Darnajou and Taransaud) prior to bottling on 21st August, 2023.

From 2011-2019 it was from the Tench Vineyard in Oakville, and in 2023 found a new, dynamic and even more exciting identity: the Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard. Russell had long been nurturing two parcels of vines he knew had the potential to combine into something even more special, thriving on this sunny hillside site, attaining an extra dimension from the cooler micro-climate.
2023 is one of Napa’s all-time great vintages, and the perfect moment to debut this new generation of EE.

*The key to this magical and dynamic blend is the vineyard sources: in addition to Sugarloaf... Mountain and Wildfoote Vineyards, the core of the fruit comes from blocks 5 and 7 in the Tench Vineyard which literally run alongside the fenceline of neighbouring Screaming Eagle - that's some serious terroir. Russell makes his selection in the cellar, picking single-vineyard barrels that are crying out to be blended together for an earlier drinking, hedonistic, and utterly delicious wine.
The Ontogeny is a true cellar-barrel selection, and is always the last of the cuvées to be blended making each new release highly-anticipated!

*Northwest of Los Angeles, the likes of Sine Qua Non, Alban, Saxum, Andremily have... been knocking it out the park for years with their gorgeous, sumptuous Rhône-varietal blends which we absolutely love. To be mentioned in the same breath as these legendary producers requires a certain je ne said quoi...
In 2017, Fingers Crossed Wine joined this super group as a ‘must have’ for the cellar and it’s no surprise when you realise the genius behind this label comes from husband and wife team Nikolas (son of Sine Qua Non owner, Manfred Krankl) and Julia Krankl.
The critics agree, marking this unstoppable rise to the top with some fantastic scores (see below).
Renowned for their more elegant expressions, Nikolas and Julia's two reds and ground-breaking white wine are new reference points for the West Coast and shoe-ins for experiencing California at its most exciting.

*One of the producers at the forefront of Sta. Rita's Hills' success is Dragonette Cellars. Winemaker Brandon Sparks-Gills, and brothers Steve... and John Dragonette, select the region's elite vineyards to make Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays of utter refinement and distinction.
Rita’s Crown vineyard is located at one of the highest points in the Sta. Rita Hills, adjacent to such famous sites as Mt Carmel and Sea Smoke. The soils are a mix of sandy and clay loams with a good amount of diatomaceous earth. Dragonette's Chardonnay comes from two parcels: block 16, (clone 76) lies at 800-950 feet on a steep, west-southwest facing hillside above the monastery, and block 12 (clone 95), a steep south facing hillside just below and to the west.
These higher elevation blocks are exposed to fog and clouds most mornings and high winds most afternoons, cooling the vineyard. The climate and the low vigour soils produce a small canopy, small yields and a long, slow growing season. The wines here typically show beautiful, ripe tropical fruit flavours, balanced by remarkable acidity and strong notes of chalky minerals.
