For fans of Cabernet Sauvignon, California has never had a more exciting and diverse range to choose from. Napa Valley has the spotlight, yet Cabernet is flourishing further south in the Central Coast, and nowhere does it better than Crown Point Vineyards in Santa Barbara County's Happy Canyon AVA (about 2 hours north of LA).

With the arrival of the very latest 2019 vintage releases, including our first-ever allocation of the Estate's top cuvée, we can't wait for you to experience and whole new side of Cabernet with these sublime wines. Available now, but in very limited quantities, they are the perfect choice to enjoy now.

In a region traditionally known for its coastal Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays, with Syrah and Grenache further inland, it took a visionary in Texan rancher Roger Bower to see the potential for world-class Cabernet Sauvignon. He purchased this remarkable property about 40 minutes north of Santa Barbara in 2012, releasing the debut 2014 vintage of Crown Point Vineyards to great acclaim and taking the West Coast Cabernet scene by storm.

With his eyes on cementing Crown Points place as the region's No.1 Cabernet Sauvignon, Roger's most important decision was to appoint a head winemaker, and the man for the job was Simon Faury. Born and raised in Lyon, France, Simon earned his master’s degree in Viticulture and Enology from the University of Bordeaux. His career has seen him work at esteemed Estates including Château Pichon-Longueville Baron, Domaine de Chevalier, Robert Mondavi Winery, Bodega Michel Rolland, Harlan Estate, and Merryvale Vineyards. Simon is ever driven by his passion, focus, and his commitment to excellence.

Simon produces three distinct reds: the Cabernet Sauvignon is the purest expression of the varietal, and Crown Point's signature wine; the Estate Blend showcases the entire Estate, combining all five of the classic 'Bordeaux' varietals; the Relevant is the Gateway cuvée, showcasing the Crown Point style through its younger vines.

As well as the latest releases, we also have a few cases available of the Relevant 2018 as we found it hard to choose between that and the 2019... so we didn't!
