– World Exclusive Library Verticals –

Curated with winemaker Sean Capiaux and drawn directly from the Estate cellar.

O’Shaughnessy was one of the first wineries we represented when Four Corners was founded, and it stands as one of Napa Valley’s most admired mountain estates.

Few Napa wineries command the same respect amongst fellow winemakers as O’Shaughnessy. Whenever we mention the estate, the conversation quickly turns to praise. That admiration stems as much from the people behind the winery as it does from the wines themselves.

For more than a decade we have followed each new O’Shaughnessy vintage from release. The opportunity to revisit the estate’s earliest wines in this way, however, is something altogether rarer.

Working directly with winemaker Sean Capiaux, who has overseen every O’Shaughnessy vintage from the very start, we have curated a small number of library verticals drawn entirely from the estate’s own cellar. Sean has literally made every wine included in these collections.

Spanning some of the earliest vintages ever produced by the estate, these collections offer a rare opportunity to explore two decades of O’Shaughnessy’s evolution. Every bottle and magnum has remained at the winery since release, ensuring impeccable provenance and condition throughout its life.

The four library verticals below showcase the two sides of O’Shaughnessy: the power and depth of Howell Mountain and the freshness and elegance of Mount Veeder.

Howell Mountain Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

The original O’Shaughnessy estate on Howell Mountain remains the heart of the winery. Whilst Cabernet Sauvignon forms the backbone of the wine, small additions of Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Carménère, Petit Verdot and even the rarely-seen St. Macaire bring additional complexity and character.

Planted on volcanic soils high above the valley floor, Howell Mountain has long been celebrated for producing Cabernet Sauvignon of depth, structure and longevity, making these mature vintages particularly compelling today.

Mount Veeder Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

Mount Veeder offers a distinctly different expression of mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. The original vineyard, Betty’s Vineyard, is planted entirely to Cabernet Sauvignon, allowing the character of the site to speak with remarkable clarity.

Influenced by a cooler climate and one of Napa Valley’s longest growing seasons, the wines combine freshness, aromatic complexity and finely textured tannins, qualities that have made Mount Veeder one of California’s great terroirs for long-lived Cabernet Sauvignon.
